When I heard that Little Street was opening it’s doors in West Byfleet in Surrey, I couldn’t have been happier!
A firm favourite of all my kids, we have often made the 45 minute journey to their Frimley location as it’s such a unique place.
However, to have one on our doorstep is fantastic, so we jumped at the chance to attend their blogger preview last week.
Here’s our review.
What is Little Street?
Little Street is unlike any other play centre.
With role play at the heart of it’s design, children are immersed in a scaled down version of a typical town.
In this particular ‘little street’, children can explore a supermarket, police station, construction site, theatre, pony club, school, medical centre and even become a train driver or postman!
Each area is not only designed at their level, but it has everything your child needs to carry out their new role.
From musical instruments, fancy dress and a stage in the theatre, to builders hats, cement mixers and JCB trucks in the construction zone, they really have thought of everything to make the street come to life.
Why I love Little Street
It’s never too busy
This is not a drop in soft play centre. It is advised to pre-book one of their four daily sessions online.
Each session lasts for 90 minutes and the numbers are capped so that it doesn’t get too busy. This is particularly useful in school holidays.
Each child ticket includes free entry for 1 adult and pre-walkers are free.
Therefore, an off peak visit for 1 adult and 1 child will only cost £5.85, with peak prices rising to £6.30.
There’s nothing worse than going to a soft-play centre which is dirty and unloved.
Little Street is truly one of the cleanest play centres I have ever visited.
Staff members can always be found tidying up throughout your visit to increase your child’s enjoyment. Then, after each play session has ended, each area is returned to its original state so that all children can experience Little Street in it’s true glory.
Easily accessible by train, bus or car
Getting here couldn’t be simpler. Little Street is located right next to West Byfleet train station and there is ample parking.
Suitable for all ages
Little Street can easily entertain children from walking age through to 7 year olds.
My children are 2, 5 and 7 and they all love visiting Little Street. They each have their favourite activity and it’s fascinating watching each of their personalities come to life in the different areas.
Food and drinks
The West Byfleet location is the perfect place to visit with friends as there is a large café area with ample seating.
Overall, my son and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Little Street and I would highly recommend it.
Please note, we were invited along to review Little Street as part of a free blogger event. All opinions are 100% my own and reflect our experience honestly.
